Alitalia has been transporting passengers and cargo throughout the world since 1947.
Alitalia serves 25 airports in Italy, 63 airports in Europe and 22 airports in the rest of the world. Since 2001, Alitalia has been a member of the SkyTeam alliance whose members include some of Europe’s and the world’s leading companies – AeroMexico, Aeroflot, Air France, KLM, Continental, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta, Korean and Air Northwest – and whose vast network provides services to 728 destinations in more than 130 countries.
The Company has two primary hubs, Fiumicino in Rome and Malpensa in Milan.
Again in 2005, Alitalia adopted a Code of Ethics and a Charter of Values, representing the cornerstone of the Company’s corporate culture and highlighting its awareness of social responsibility, including concern for the environment and the community at large.
