Delta Airlines stops Manchester – New York service

September 9th, 2009 | by sergio |

The US carrier Delta airlines is withdrawing flights from Manchester to New York. The service that connects JFK airport to Manchester will stop on January 8.

The airline states that an analysis indicating a demand dropping in winter is the cause of the decision. Delta is operating this daily transatlantic service using a Boeing 757. The route Manchester-Atlanta will be mantained.

Delta withdrawal comes after British Airways and Bmi decision to eliminate the same route from their network last year.
